Recovery Month: Maurice

All September, we’ll be sharing thoughts from our staff members who are in recovery in celebration of #NationalRecoveryMonth.

First up, Maurice Washington, a graduate of REAL LIFE and working with Project SAF in Hopewell as our Violence Prevention Program Coordinator.

Maurice shared that the greatest loss he faced with his addiction was the ability to be a father to his children. His recovery has allowed him to regain and redevelop that relationship with his children! He is celebrating 4 years, 1 month, and 4 days clean today.
