Volunteer Our volunteers play an integral role in furthering our mission! Volunteers can be individuals or groups that contribute on a regular basis or on a one-time or special project basis. To get started, take a look at some of the opportunities below, and sign up for one of our monthly information sessions. Sign up
Stock the Kitchen: Provide non-perishable food for new Lifers in a REAL House. Welcome Home Kits: Provide and assemble a hygiene product kit for new Lifers first arriving at a REAL House. Community Hygiene Kits: Provide and assemble travel size hygiene kits for distribution with information about REAL LIFE during community events. Cleaning Supply Drive: Gather cleaning supplies, such as Lysol wipes, Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, for a REAL House. Linen Drive: Gather new or very gently used twin bed linens (sheets, pillowcases, blanket, comforter) for a REAL House. Budget Coaching: Work one-on-one with a Lifer to assist them in developing a personal finance budget. Tutoring: Assist a Lifer with reading and comprehension of the Real Life with REAL LIFE curriculum workbook. Employment Workshop: Work with Lifers seeking employment, including assisting with resumes, technology, and more. Adopt a House: Sponsor a REAL House by dropping off a home cooked meal once a month. REAL House Gardens: Build or plant a garden at one of our REAL Houses, allowing Lifers to grow fresh fruits and vegetables in their own backyard. Community Resilience Project: Become a Resilience Ambassador, learning how to support those in your community that have been impacted by trauma and violence! Holiday Projects: During the holidays, we also have our Angel Tree and Holiday Meals program. Sign-ups open in October and November and will be posted here when they’re available!
