When Alan was incarcerated, struggling with his addiction, he lost his friends, family, and all of his possessions. A graduate of REAL LIFE and celebrating 11 years sober, Alan says his greatest gain from recovery has been reconnecting with his oldest daughter. He’s also proud that he has purchased a car and gotten his own place. Now on staff with REAL LIFE, Alan serves as a positive example for those in recovery. He also helps Lifers track their progress in developing positive recovery capital.
