Chelsea Rarrick-Cleary

Chelsea Rarrick-Cleary serves on the Board of Directors for REAL LIFE, where she supports the organization’s mission of creating pathways for individuals seeking meaningful and lasting change. She is also the Director of External Communications for Markel, where she leads media relations and external communications initiatives across the company’s U.S. and Bermuda insurance divisions.

Throughout her career, Chelsea has held leadership roles in journalism and public affairs, including serving as Director of Public Affairs for the Richmond Police Department. She began her career as a television reporter in Central New York and brings nearly 15 years of experience in strategic communications, reputation management, and public engagement.

Chelsea is a graduate of the University of Arizona and lives in the Richmond area with her husband, Thomas, and their son, Logan, with another child joining their family this spring. In her free time, she enjoys reading and is always on the hunt for a great thriller.
