Today we celebrate Jasmine, a lifer who gives her time to others by helping craft their resumes. We are excited for Jasmine because of her growing role as a mom to Aniyah, Theo, and Grayson. Aniyah is excited to be in 7th grade this fall and has been talking to her mom on a daily basis over the past year. They share laughs, tears, and all emotions in between.
Jasmine is overjoyed at their relationship and her main priority is getting in a position to receive her daughter if and when she decides to come back. As for the boys, Theo is in daycare and Grayson guzzling bottles. They are both growing fast and learning new things each day. Jasmine video calls them once a month, and gets weekly updates on how they are doing. Theo and Grayson live in Michigan with family friends and Jasmine will get to see them come September.
Jasmine gives thanks to REAL LIFE for her connection with her kids. Not only has she been shown “the importance of family relationships” but has been “molded into a productive member of [her] family and society.” Jasmine remains humble by reminding herself of past struggles in addiction and keeping close to her mentors. Jasmine recognizes that she is “confident, but not complete” and will continue to seek guidance today and tomorrow.
