Meet Us Monday: David, Peer Recovery Coach

Meet David Ewell! He is from Suffolk, VA where he was born and raised. He attended Suffolk Public Schools and graduated from Nansemond River High School in 2003. He then attended Virginia Wesleyan College from 2004-2008 and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology.

Soon after he attended Old Dominion University where he received a certification in Special Education. He has held various jobs at Surry Nuclear Power Station, Suffolk Public Schools, Chesapeake Public Schools, Portsmouth Public Schools and Fredericksburg Public School systems. He has also worked in the electrical field.

He came to Richmond, VA over 19 months ago to get sober and earned a CPRS (Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) credential, and he continues to work in recovery for REAL LIFE through the Recovery Corps program.
