Meet Us Monday: Sam, Project SAF Life Coach

“I am super excited, grateful and humbled to get the opportunity to help change lives,” Sam says. “There are so many people who are struggling and need direction in their lives, the same way I did.”

Sam’s path to this point hasn’t been easy. After losing his mother as a teenager, he began using substances and left high school. His substance use eventually led to incarceration. After later losing his father to cancer, Sam continued to struggle before finding his way to REAL LIFE.

Now, he hopes to use his lived experience and what he has learned along the way to support others. “REAL LIFE has given me the tools and knowledge to turn my life around, and my goal is to return this gift to the community,” he says.

From Lifer to Peer House Leader to Life Coach, we’ve had the privilege of watching Sam grow, and we’re excited to officially welcome him to the REAL LIFE team!
