Meet Us Monday: Clinton, Peer House Leader

Posted: April 13, 2026 | Author: Real Life Staff
Happy Meet Us Monday! We’re excited to introduce Clinton, a new REAL LIFE Peer House Leader.

Clinton recently graduated from our program and stepped into a leadership role at one of our REAL LIFE houses, helping keep things running smoothly at House N.
Originally from Texas and raised in Virginia, Clinton’s path took a few unexpected turns, including a disrupted college opportunity after Hurricane Katrina. He built a career in landscaping, but over time recognized the cycle of his Substance Use Disorder and knew something had to change. In November 2024, he made the decision to enter treatment and start fresh.

After completing a 30-day program, Clinton chose REAL LIFE for the structure and support to keep growing. “I wanted something that would keep me longer and give me more time to adjust,” he shared.

Like many, his journey hasn’t been perfect, but today, he’s thriving. “I wasn’t expecting to become a house leader. It gave me a lot of confidence knowing that somebody believes in me.”

He loves being a Peer House Leader, and is taking his time working toward his goals, staying focused on building a strong foundation for his future. He says, “I want to keep working at getting my license back, saving money, and building my life the right way.”

Clinton, who became a father earlier in life, is also proud of the relationship he continues to build with his son. “He tells me he’s proud of me every week,” Clinton shared.

We’re proud of you too, Clinton.
