Meet Us Monday: Brooke, REAL LIFE Graduate

Brooke was born in Houston and raised in New Orleans, where she graduated high school with honors. After starting college, her journey was impacted by Substance Use Disorder and incarceration, leading her down a difficult road.

Her turning point came after entering recovery programs and, eventually, finding her way to REAL LIFE. Since then, Brooke has worked hard to rebuild her life, graduating from REAL LIFE, securing her own apartment, and becoming a restaurant manager.

One of Brooke’s greatest joys is being able to see her son, and she’s committed to making the most of every opportunity to be present with him. She also has her sights set on the future, returning to school to become a Peer Recovery Specialist and continuing to grow in her career.

Brooke sums it up best: “No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, anything is possible.”
