Summer of Connection in Fairfield and Mosby

This summer, our food distribution pop-up events in Fairfield and Mosby Courts have been all about connection. We’ve had the joy of meeting residents who are just discovering REAL LIFE and Project SAF (Safe, Alive, and Free) for the first time—and we’re grateful for every conversation, every smile, and every new relationship formed.

We love being able to spread awareness about our programs while also providing an opportunity for residents to pick up groceries—and the kids have especially been loving the fun activities we bring along!

It’s also been a blast (literally) having the Richmond Fire Department join us to show off their trucks and turn on the fire hydrants so neighborhood kids can cool off from the summer heat!

We’ve been honored to partner for these events with amazing groups like Befriend and Little Hands Virginia. From door-to-door outreach to community peace walks, staff and volunteers have shown up in full force to support these events.
