REAL LIFE Project SAF Joins Farmers Market Celebration of Black Business Month
Posted: August 18, 2025 | Author: Real Life Staff
Our REAL LIFE Project SAF (Safe, Alive, and Free) team recently gathered at the Metropolitan Business League Farmers Market for a special celebration of Black Business Month and National Farmers Market Week. Speakers included Clovia Lawrence, radio broadcast journalist and community advocate; Matthew Lohr, Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; and Micah “Bam Bamm” White, VP of Business Development at The Metropolitan Business League.
The REAL LIFE team also hosted a booth at the event, sharing information about Project SAF and connecting with community members. Project SAF Life Coach Marvin says, “There were many folks who stopped by the REAL LIFE table asking questions about REAL LIFE, and it was a great opportunity to build relationships and spread the word about what REAL LIFE offers.”
Events like these remind us that strong communities and thriving local businesses are essential to lasting change. At REAL LIFE, we’re proud to stand alongside and support Black-owned businesses, knowing that their success strengthens the communities we serve.
