Paul grew up in the Chesterfield area and, after years of experiencing Substance Use Disorder and incarceration, he made the decision to turn his life around. When he arrived at REAL LIFE, he met fellow Lifer Steven—who had arrived the same day. The two quickly formed a bond and made a pact to graduate together and support one another along the way.
We’re thrilled to share that they both recently graduated—and both now serve as Peer House Leaders at different REAL Houses!
Today, Paul is thriving. He loves his job at a Richmond thrift store, has a strong relationship with his 16-year-old son, and describes himself as truly happy. His next goals include getting his license and a car, and eventually moving into a place of his own.
