Softball Showdown: Lifers vs. REAL LIFE Graduates

There was plenty of delicious food thanks to our friends at Village Green RVA, lots of good-natured teasing, and big smiles all around.

Jordan, a REAL LIFE graduate and Peer House Leader, was a stand-out player at the game. “For me, it took me back to when I was younger when I played sports—before I struggled with addiction. It was a breath of fresh air to do something fun, carefree, and a little competitive. I couldn’t have had a better time!”

What made it even more special? Seeing our graduates and alumni return—not just to play or cheer but to reconnect and share life updates.

This game marked the kickoff of our #ProSocialSummer! Each REAL LIFE house has been challenged to complete fun and free pro-social activities around the city to achieve Bingo on a custom card. From community events to museum visits, hiking at a park to acts of service, it’s all about rediscovering joy, connection, and purpose—one square at a time. We’ll be sharing some of their adventures each Sunday for #ProSocialSummerSunday!

Moments like these remind us: REAL LIFE isn’t just a program — it’s a family.
