Real Talk, Real Change at the Beyond Gunshots Conference

Graduates of our Real Talk with REAL LIFE program at Lawrenceville Correctional Center joined us virtually to share their stories. These men completed the program and now serve as peer facilitators within the program at Lawrenceville. They spoke candidly about lives transformed, relationships repaired, and the communication skills that are helping them break cycles of violence.

The response in the room was unforgettable: a roaring standing ovation. It was a testament to the courage of these men, the vision of our partners at the Virginia Department of Health and Virginia Department of Corrections, and the power of accountability paired with hope.

At REAL LIFE, we believe building safer communities starts on by reshaping beliefs, building emotional regulation, and fostering responsibility. The Real Talk with REAL LIFE curriculum is not just changing individuals; it is sparking ripple effects that strengthen families and communities.
