National Volunteer Week Spotlight: Jackie

Today, we’re celebrating Jackie—one of our dedicated volunteers who faithfully joins our Project SAF (Safe, Alive, and Free) Peace Walks to bring comfort, connection, and hope to neighborhoods impacted by violence, letting residents know they’re not alone.

“Our community-sourced volunteers are the heart of our Peace Walks,” says Josh, Community Resilience Program Coordinator. “Their presence brings authentic connection, trust, and credibility. They walk alongside our Project SAF Life Coaches as visible symbols of unity and hope, helping to bridge gaps and inspire others to get involved.”

Jackie’s REAL LIFE teammates think the world of her. DeShawn, Project SAF Life Coach, shares: “It’s always a breath of fresh air when I see her attend Peace Walks. She most certainly captures the care from the community and integrity!”
