Meet Us Monday: Loretta, REAL LIFE Board of Directors

Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Loretta, one of our newest board members! While she may be new to the board, she is no stranger to REAL LIFE.

Loretta, a Certified Community Health Worker with Bon Secours Richmond Health System Violence Response Team, first connected with REAL LIFE through her son, who participated in the program when it was only available in jails. Later, she volunteered for a year with REAL LIFE, an experience she describes as eye-opening and deeply meaningful. It gave her a better understanding of Substance Use Disorder and the struggles her son faced—things he couldn’t always put into words.

Now, as a board member, Loretta is eager to contribute: “My purpose is to help people who are struggling. Any way that I can contribute to help one life—that’s a blessing to me.”

She recently received great health news and now wakes up every day ready to make a difference. Loretta, we are honored to have you on the team and grateful for your passion and dedication! Welcome to the REAL LIFE family, Loretta!
