Meet Us Monday: Chelsea, Lifer

For today’s Meet Us Monday, we want to introduce you to one of our Lifer Moms who is grateful this holiday season to be able to be moving towards a reunification with her son.

Chelsea is a Lifer who, due to her active addiction, lost custody of her son and has not had a relationship with him in 2 ½ years. However, since coming to REAL LIFE, she has been able to reconnect with her son’s father and is moving towards reunification with her son. “At first, he was completely against the idea of me coming back into my son’s life,” Chelsea says. “Now, however, we are getting along, and things are definitely looking up!”

She is hoping the courts will let her reconnect with her son soon— thanks to REAL LIFE and Chelsea’s commitment to sobriety! “I just want to earn my place back in his life again. I want to be there to watch him grow.” Chelsea, we hope this for you too! Keep up the hard work!
