Meet Us Monday: Kristen, Four Facts and a Fib Edition

Kristen leads REAL LIFE’s fundraising campaigns, writes and manages grants, coordinates volunteer efforts, develops community partnerships, and more. And while she spends most of her time making sure our Lifers and programs have the resources they need to thrive, you’ve also seen her behind the camera at events and helping share the stories that bring our mission to life.

Now for the fun part… can you spot the fib?

• She loves powerlifting and is always chasing a new personal record, even if it means convincing herself that “just one more rep” is a good idea.

• She once toured Chernobyl and the abandoned city of Pripyat in Ukraine, proving she will absolutely say yes to an unusual travel itinerary.

• She has two cats at home who believe they are her full-time supervisors, especially when she’s trying to work.

• She developed an allergy to watermelon as an adult, which is unfortunate as it used to be one of her favorite summertime treats.

• She and her husband spent part of their honeymoon at Legoland in Billund, Denmark, and they both love building Lego.
