She was terrified to return to the city where her addiction was strongest, she doubted if she could complete the program, and she was scared of entering a similar mindset that fueled her addiction. While their contact started out as only one phone call a week, Mikayla pushed past her fears and proved her commitment to change, allowing her to speak with her son everyday. Now as she prepares to graduate, Mikayla shares she may be able to regain custody of her son, an idea that encourages and motivates her further.
