#MeetUsMonday
, we’re excited to introduce Harrison—a Lifer, former Peer House Leader, and now serving with REAL LIFE through Recovery Corps! After struggling with addiction, Harrison has been pursuing his recovery through REAL LIFE and other recovery programming. Harrison shares, “I am extremely grateful for this program because it has given me time to focus on myself. It’s more than just a program—it gives confidence, rediscovery, and growth.”
Working with Recovery Corps, Harrison finds the most meaning in helping others navigate their recovery journey. He values the opportunity to use his lived experience to guide and support those facing similar struggles. He also helps with data collection, recognizing its role in tracking progress and improving recovery efforts.
Beyond his work, Harrison has a deep love for soccer, hiking, and music. He hopes to return to college to complete his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and earn a recovery certification to pursue a career as a peer navigator or coordinator. Keep up the great work, Harrison! REAL LIFE is lucky to have you.
